We are pleased to offer to our fellow toolmakers and bladesmiths, USA production 5160 steel round bars in several sizes, and quantities up to 500 pounds. Once a favorite of bladesmiths for its strength, toughness, and ease of heat treatment, 5160 has become almost impossible to find in small quantities in round bar form.
Current selection includes oversized 3/4”, 1”, and 1-1/4” round bars

Steel is sold by the pound according to the following chart:
$6 per pound, 1-19 pounds
$5.50 per pound, 20-49 pounds
$5.00 per pound, 50-99 pounds
$4.50 per pound, 100-249 pounds
$4.00 per pound, 250-500 pounds
Cutting Service
Do you need multiple pieces cut to a specific length? We offer custom cutting for a nominal fee.
Shipping
Small quantities are shipped via USPS and UPS. Currently, we are only shipping steel to USA addresses. For large quantities, please contact us to arrange pickup at our shop in Western NC.
Certification
A copy of the certification of analysis and tests is available on request with steel purchase.
